🔴 Neurobiology of the Gaze: Bibliography

I can’t stop looking at James Spader’s face. I’ve noticed I am not alone in this…

Once a recovering academic, I am now in full relapse. I am posting an annotated bibliography I compiled (isn’t that exciting?), here: http://bit.ly/12ZWgEP

The bibliography is organized in reverse chronological in two sections: 1. Articles mentioning specific genetic markers (more technical), and 2. No mention of specific markers.

I’ve included the key research papers, some more accessible MSM accounts, and overviews on the impact this gene has had on human evolution. I’ve included key excerpts from these papers with the intent of saving you (and me) the need to constantly link back to the source documents (though all links are provided). I’ve made a point of doing this especially for papers which are not free. I’ve done this kind of work in academic and research settings for which I developed this approach.

Perhaps I should have learned my lesson a couple months ago when I delved into the mysteries of “the warrior gene” that I might learn more about myself than I as quite ready for http://bit.ly/1yqhTLC, but turns out I have the “explorer gene” too (in addition to a double dose of the “love gene”) – according to 23andme and Promethease. I wrote a post also on Lizzie’s Mom and what she might be/have been like, since the series hinted that Lizzie has the “warrior gene” http://bit.ly/1xISsoV (2:4 Linus Creel).What’s most interesting though is this does all circle back to The Blacklist in an interesting way, and then to the Actual World. And it’s something the MSM doesn’t dare touch and even the researchers are gently tiptoeing around.It is, simply, that in the West (Europe and The United States), there are twice as many people with the “love gene” as in the East (China, South Korea and Japan). The other side of this coin is that major mental disorders are much less frequent in the East.
